The world’s first nursing bed with integrated side tilt
Innovation, safety, and ergonomics are redefined with this nursing bed from wissner-bosserhoff. The LATERA NEO impressively demonstrates what modern nursing care can achieve today and in the future. The integrated side tilt is designed to reduce the workload on caregivers and ensure the safe mobilization of residents. For a better quality of life in daily care
Using the control panel or foot switches on both sides, the caregiver can effortlessly tilt the bed up to 15° to the side. This provides highly effective support for daily care tasks, such as repositioning the resident or helping them safely get out of bed. At the same time, it reduces the physical strain on caregivers during their demanding work, which can lead to fewer sick days and greater satisfaction in daily care.
The innovative lateral swivel significantly simplifies the repositioning and mobilization of residents. Caregivers work more ergonomically, safely, and with noticeably less physical effort—while providing greater comfort for those in need of care.
The height adjustment and side tilt of the LATERA NEO can be optionally controlled via a foot switch on both sides. This ensures an ergonomic posture for the caregiver and guarantees effective handling.
With the LATERA NEO, getting out of bed is significantly easier for mobile and partially mobile residents thanks to the integrated lateral tilt. Residents can get to a standing position more easily and safely, and individual capabilities are specifically supported. This promotes greater independence and well-being in daily life.
The double retraction of the BiNetic® lying surface provides +17 cm more space in the seating area, thereby reducing pressure on sensitive body areas around the pelvis. Combined with the long backrest of nearly 90 cm, it offers preventive and comfortable positioning for immobile residents.
The 3-stop strategy offers three preset bed surface heights for every care situation. Easily selectable at the touch of a button—for safe sleeping, comfortable transfers, and ergonomic work. This benefits both residents and caregivers.
The under-bed lighting on both sides helps the resident find their way around the room at night. In the safe low position, also known as the “Safe Position,” the under-bed light glows GREEN. With a single glance into the resident’s room, the night watch can immediately see that the bed height is correctly adjusted—without any additional checks or subsequent adjustments.
