70 years: Quality - Made in Germany
wissner-bosserhoff celebrates its birthday
The company history of wissner-bosserhoff shows that sometimes things turn out differently than you think: In 1952, the year of the company's foundation, the shareholders activated the company shell they held, Wissner GmbH, which was a well-known brand in the bicycle industry in the early days.

However, the company's real moment of glory did not come until ten years later. In 1962, the first hospital beds were developed and produced. In close cooperation with physicians and nursing services, the company was already striving at that time for ergonomics and comfort for patients and nursing staff.
Following German reunification, the company developed a comprehensive expansion strategy towards Eastern Europe in the early 1990s. First of all, a nationwide expansion of the distribution network in the new German states was realized.
LINET was established in an old farmhouse and is now one of the largest producers of hospital beds in the world.
A trend-setting move was the majority shareholding (50.1 percent) in Linet spol. s r.o. in Slaný near Prague, which was implemented in 1990. Since then, the company has concentrated on the production of hospital beds, continuously increasing its worldwide business with these beds and multiplying it to the present day.
The contempora nursing bed was awarded the IF Design Award in 2008.
In 1992, Wissner took over the Delbrück trading company Bosserhoff and merged to form today's wissner-bosserhoff GmbH. 1999 was the turning point for the company to achieve the innovation leadership it had been striving for. Since then, many national and international awards, such as the IF Design Award or the red-dot Award, have confirmed the company's course.
