Success for wissner-bosserhoff trainees
Group victory in the Internet business game "Market & Competition"
Wickede, February 2020 - This year again, our commercial trainees took part in the Internet business game "Market and Competition" of the Bildungswerk Nordrhein-Westfalen and qualified as group winners for the final round on March 2 and 3 in Düsseldorf.
The Bildungswerk der Nordrhein-Westfälischen Wirtschaft (BWNRW) has been offering the Internet simulation for trainees MARKT & WETTBEWERB for several years now. The aim of the computer-supported business simulation is to broaden the knowledge of economic interrelationships by making one's own practice-oriented decisions. In this business simulation, trainees can experience the economy up close and get to know the most important decision areas of production companies in their interaction.
The participating teams compete for market shares and profits. They have to make decisions on investment and material procurement, on hiring and qualifying personnel, on the scope of production, on sales of the finished products and on financing the company.
Qualified for the final round
The greatest challenge for our trainees Katharina Adrian, Ricarda Beyer, Larissa Hoffmann, Julian Kemper, Lars Koßmann, Frederik Lutter, Annika Oest and Carolin Wimmeler was to achieve the greatest possible profit by simulating all processes of a manufacturing company under constantly changing conditions. The task was to analyse changing conditions, to forecast the consequences of these changes and to initiate the strategic and operative measures resulting from the analysis and forecast.
The group victory not only shows that our trainees have succeeded in this outstandingly well, but also entitles them to participate in the final round, which will take place on March 2 and 3 in Düsseldorf.
